WEEKLY sabbath
Why We Sabbath:
In a world that never stops, taking a weekly sabbath is a countercultural act of trust. It is not just rest—it's resistance. It's a bold declaration that our worth is not measured by productivity. Dallas Willard called hurry "the great enemy of spiritual life” and sabbath is God's antidote. It’s where we stop, rest, delight, and worship - to remind ourselves we are human beings, not human doings — and let Him love us for no good reason
How To Sabbath:
Start small and be intentional. The goal is a full 24-hour period each week where you can cease from work—paid and unpaid—and engage in life-giving rhythms: rest, delight, and spiritual renewal. If you can’t manage a full day, start with a half! Ruthlessly eliminate hurry during this time. Light a candle. Put your phone away (and lock all those apps you know you’re addicted to.) Take a walk. Laugh with friends. Eat slowly. Worship deeply. Let God love you for no good reason.
