Your phone / your enemy ***

Your phone is very useful, but it also wants nothing more than to steal from you: your time, money, and priorities. Silence and solitude are essential spaces where God can reach us - we MUST take time away from screens. Taking control over your relationship with your phone isn’t just good for your focus—it’s an act of spiritual resistance.

Try setting some sacred boundaries. If you know you’re prone to linger on specific apps, consider putting apps limits on them (found in your settings). Begin and end your day without your phone. Create “phone-free” spaces for prayer, Scripture, or just breathing deeply. Notice what surfaces in the quiet—boredom, restlessness, longing—and bring that honestly before God. This is soul work.

Here’s our top Tip (and generous offer):

Stop charging your phone by your bed! Charge it in another room. say goodnight to it, and don’t greet it in the morning until you’ve spent some time with Jesus. And before you say it, we’re way ahead of you: We have a stash of simple free alarm clocks at church (batteries included) come grab one anytime!
