Meredith Abe

I was born in Michigan, but grew up in churches all over the Midwest before my family ended up in California during college. I met Mike when we both signed up for a mission trip to Japan, and that’s (sort of) where our love began (you know that mission trip love). 

Since then, we’ve been to churches all over LA, but once we stepped into Bread, there was just a feeling (you know the one). The honesty, rawness, holy spirit filled spaces, and joy a plenty was refreshing and instantly felt like home. We’ve been grateful to be a part of this community since 2023.

I definitely feel like I was made to work with kids. I taught second grade for several years before having my own kiddos, and I’ve been home experiencing life with them since then. Now, also being a part of the kids ministry at Bread, is a dream come true. I love getting to be part of kids growing in their love and knowing of Jesus, and getting to be a part of filling those spaces with curiosity, creativity and care is super exciting. Let’s have some fun!
