Or learn to practice LECTIO DiVINA by yourself
An ancient practice that dates us back to the early mothers and fathers of our faith, Lectio Divina “Divine Reading” is an approach to the bible that sets us up to listen for the word of God spoken to us in this present moment. Through the presence of the Holy Spirit, the bible becomes alive and active as we engage them for spiritual transformation (Hebrews 4:12). This is an excellent article by Haley Barton on how/why to read the Bible this way.
This year, more than fifty of us are journeying through the bible together - join us any time.
Our friends at KXC in London have built a journaling lectio prompter tool called Bread (we’re so flattered!) - download 2025’s HERE.

Practice Examen
Examen is a nightly prayer reflection practice that involves reviewing your day with GOd, thanking him, noticing moments of grace and areas for growth, and then asking for His guidance in the upcoming day:
1. Prepare for Prayer: Get quiet, breathe slowly, welcome the Spirit’s presence.
2. Give Thanks: What gifts did you receive today, what can you be grateful for.
3. Review the Day: Ask the Holy Spirit to help you see your day clearly:
Imagine you are replaying the events of your day, paying attention to the moments that stood out.
Note any particular emotions, thoughts, or feelings that arose during the day.
Identify moments of consolation (feeling close to God) and moments of desolation (feeling distant from God).
Ask Him how to show you how He is at work in your through those things.
4. Repent and Receive Forgiveness for anything you know you need to
5. Commit Tomorrow To Him
